A Story That Began More Than 20 Years Ago

More than two decades ago, our Co-founder Mr. Bigman Le was among the pioneers who introduced Duc Viet sausages, produced in Northern Vietnam, to consumers in the South.

At that time, smoked sausages were unfamiliar to the southern market. Mr. Bigman witnessed it firsthand — customers often rejected the very first bite, unsure of the smoky flavor and texture that were new to them. Each rejection was a lesson in patience, market education, and belief.

Rather than being discouraged, he built a strong, committed team on the ground. Through persistence, consistency, and close work with retailers and partners, Duc Viet gradually gained trust and market share in Ho Chi Minh City. What once felt unfamiliar eventually became accepted and appreciated.

A Defining Chapter

Today, Duc Viet has grown and is now part of a Korean investment group. For Mr. Bigman, that journey remains one of his proudest memories — a defining chapter that shaped his philosophy:
good food deserves time, belief, and the right people behind it.

That belief continues to guide everything we do at Dat Khuong.
